Day 1 · ~1m

The AI Builder Confidence Check

Welcome to 30 days of AI on Python — here's what you'll build and how the path works.

You know Python. You've validated data with Pydantic. You can structure a model, enforce constraints, and serialize output. That puts you ahead of ninety percent of developers who decide to "add AI" to their product.

But there's a gap between knowing Python and shipping an AI feature. Right now, if your PM walked over and said "I need a chatbot in our support portal by next month," you'd probably open the OpenAI docs, stare at the authentication section, and wonder how any of this connects to the FastAPI service you were about to build.

That gap is exactly what the next 30 days will close.

Before we write a single line of code, let's take a snapshot of where you are right now. Below are ten statements about building AI-powered services. Rate each one honestly — not where you want to be, but where you actually are today. There are no wrong answers, and your score doesn't count toward anything. On Day 30, you'll rate these same statements again. The delta is the whole point.
